LakwatCHA Galore

Kasama: Edwin Reyes,Mervin Gonzales, PJ Rieta
Budget- not so mahirap not so mayaman
Trip: Mag beach bum, lumamon, magplanking at mag jumpshot!
Saya level: (10 the highest 1 lowest)  pwede na ang 7
Badtrip level-  Mga 9!

Oo delayed yung flight namen for three hours! buti nlang may free meal from Jollibee, chickenjoy na walang gravy.

TOUCHDOWN CEBU!

The famous LarSian

Known for their ihaw ihaw. Here one will find varieties of charcoal grilled meats, poultry and lots of chicken and pig innards (lamang loob)

The crowd is wild and smoky. The whole place is jam packed with  stalls with almost the same kind of "iihawin" so it's kinda hard to decide where to sit. The stall owners and workers acts like they were the nearest "sabungan"

Finaly, you get to choose your order "turo turo" style. The best part is, you get to eat by hand. So we were given a transparent plastic bag, like the one my mom used to ulam and kanin in absence of the sosyal lock and lock. You have to wear that like a gloves. Since this is not my first time at this place I kinda know how it works.

The famous "puso" (heart) this is rice steamed in a banana leaf. Each cost 2 pesos.

We rented a pension house that evening and planned to leave the Queen City 5:00am the following day for  Bantayan Island. We rented a cab for a 2,500P going to the island. It's three hour ride somehow like from Manila  to Batangas.

We reached Hagnaya Port  around ten in the morning and board  "RORO" to Bantayan.

It was a scorching hot morning.. all sweat, tired, hungry and  smells salty lol

We received an insider information that the best beach at Bantayan is known as "Sugar Beach". Compared to the pricey "Ogtong Cave" and "Sta. Fe" Beach Resort, which is just beside the town's port (privacy issues)  Sugar beach has the longest shoreline and whitest sand as compared to the rest.

It did not disappoint!

The area is covered with palm trees, where signage says " Beware of Falling Palm and Coconut Tree"
I must say, one should be afraid. We experienced it first hand! scary. Good thing there are no casualties.

It was like Summer! I'm sporting an 80% Banana Boat  sunblock. While Manila was having a bad on/off weather. Cebu shines like you are in the Bahamas! I like!

On our way back, I'd like to share with you few unfortunate events that occurred to us

1. Pj lost his Cebu Pac itinerary
2. He lost his Ipod too.. left it with the cabbie
3. The cab we hired to fetch us from the port to airport  didn't show up, so we ended up renting a private car which cost us triple the price.
4. The private car got broken, we had to pull over four times to refill water for the car's engine
5. We travel three hours without airconditioner
6.And lastly we missed our flight and have it re-booked which cost us thrice the price of the fare
7. I got a bad temper
8. So I nag my way to the airport and it's employees
8. My friends got a bad temper too
9. We waited 3 hours for the flight back home
10. I still got my temper from Cebu to Manila

Now tell me.. GOOD TRIP or BADTRIP?

Here are the highlights

1. We get to Snorkel
2. The food is cheap and yum-e
3. The  sea is water amazing
5. Friendly locals
6. Cheaper accommodation
7.The snorkeling site did not diappoint
8. We all get to know each other's temper METER! (toinkz)
9. Ed and I ( as usual) bond like a glue
10. We get to go home safe but a little broke. END OF STORY.
